CRuMBLE is an innovative project focused on transforming Construction and Demolition (C&D) waste into prefabricated building components through large-scale 3D printing. This project establishes a circular design and manufacturing framework, leveraging C&D waste as secondary feedstock to produce building products with enhanced performance and a significantly reduced environmental footprint. CRuMBLE brings together an interdisciplinary research group from Carnegie Mellon University—with expertise in architecture, materials science, and robotics—alongside industry leaders from Pennsylvania in waste management and modular building manufacturing, Michael Brothers and MODLOGIQ, respectively.
