This proposal presents a collaborative initiative between Millersville University of Pennsylvania, Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology, PrecisionForm Inc., and Precision Cobotics LLC with the aim of transforming quality inspection processes for durable goods within Pennsylvania's manufacturing sector. The project will focus on integrating advanced robotics and industrial vision systems to automate inspection tasks, significantly enhancing precision, speed, and production efficiency while reducing the dependency on manual labor. By addressing the pressing challenges faced by manufacturers—such as stringent quality standards and labor shortages—this initiative aligns with the state’s economic goals.

Furthermore, the project will actively involve undergraduate and graduate students, providing them with valuable hands-on experience in automation and robotics technologies and preparing them to meet manufacturing sector challenges through innovation. Finally, the project aims to contribute to Pennsylvania's economic growth and maintain its competitive edge in the evolving landscape of advanced manufacturing.
